New ADHD Drug Warning: Hyper? Sudden Death Will Cure That.
The FDA announced that a number of ADHD drugs on the market will be forced to carry labels warning its users of side effects including heart problems, psychotic behavior, and sudden death.
Dexedrine, Ritalin, and a few others will now warn its users of:
- Sudden death
- Serious heart problems
- Increased blood pressure
- Aggression
- Mania
- Psychotic behavior
- Stunted growth
- Seizures and vision problems
I don’t know about you, but I’ll take “difficulty concentrating” over any of those any day of the week.
Some doctors have expressed concern that new warnings could dampen use of the medicines, which the FDA has estimated see about 1 million prescriptions for adults and 2 million for children each month.
AKA the pharm industry is worried that their stocks will take a dive unless more people are told they are sick. Here’s an idea: take better care of yourself so you don’t have to drug yourself to death!
